Hello, my name is Melissa Hoyer. After working four years at The Wealth Conservancy, I obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER designation in the summer of 2007. My background also includes four years of Human Resources experience and a BA in French from the University of Iowa.
My favorite part of being a financial planner is getting to know clients. I love to find out what people are passionate about, and to support them to make their dreams a reality. I am fortunate to be able to do that here as a general financial planner. I'm involved with clients from the time they decide to work with us, during the financial planning process, and throughout our ongoing relationship. Together with my fantastic co-workers, we are able to provide customized financial planning services and develop enjoyable long-lasting relationships with our clients.
My husband, Jim, and I enjoy the mountain views from our home in downtown Boulder. We like to sample the seasonally changing menus at our favorite restaurants in town, the Kitchen and Frasca, with good friends. I love traveling, especially to France, so I can practice speaking French, and I wouldn't turn down the bread, cheese, olives, pastries and wine either. My ongoing project is to learn how to play the piano - perhaps one of these years I'll be able to play a Bach two-part invention or Beethoven's Pathetique.
